If the weather is bad and our flight is cancelled what happens next?

If your flight is cancelled due to poor weather conditions you will have the option of re-booking for another time or receiving a full refund.

Is there a better side of the aircraft to sit on?

Our routes are planned and flown by our pilots to provide just as many photo opportunities and amazing views from both sides of the aircraft.

Can I choose my own seat?

Your pilot will allocate your seating due to specific weight and balance requirements which is dependent on the aircraft and operational requirements. We take into consideration couples, families and groups and where possible keep them together.

Is it cold in the aircraft?

All aircraft are equipped with a heater that is operated by the pilot if required.

What should I wear?

During the flight normal clothes are fine with enclosed footwear recommended but not required. The temperature is generally a few degrees Celsius cooler in Milford Sound than in Wanaka. Bringing a warmer outer layer and water proof layer is recommended.

What should I bring on the flight?

Your camera and sunglasses are a must. Insect repellent is a good idea if you are landing in Milford.

Can I use my cell phone during flight?

You are more than welcome to leave your cell phone on during flight. The majority of our flights are outside cell phone reception including Milford Sound.

How long is the boat cruise?

The boat cruise lasts two hours. You pilot will make sure you get your boat tickets and get on the correct boat. Your pilot will also meet you when you disembark your boat inside the main ferry terminal.

Is there lunch available?

A packed lunch can be arranged for the Milford Sound Glacier Flight and Cruise. On the boat cruise free tea, coffee and water is provided although no food. Most people bring their own food.

Do you have minimum numbers?

Yes, minimum numbers apply.

Can you take disabled passengers?

Yes we can. Your pilot will provide assistance where ever needed and we have step ladders as required.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation due to weather – Full refund/no charge.
Cancellation more than 48 hours prior to date of departure – Full refund/no charge.
Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to date of departure or “No Show” – No Refund/100% Charge.

What are your ages for children?

Siberia Experience: child age 3-13 years
0-2 years travel free provided they sit on an adults lap (a child’s seat belt and ear muffs are supplied)

All other flights: 5-15 years
0-4 years travel free provided they sit on an adults lap (a child’s seat belt and ear muffs are supplied)
